Trip on: August 15?, 2000
By George Chen
Six Flags Magic Mountain is a great park, and will hold the record for most number of coasters in one park after Deja Vu, X, and Goliath Jr. are complete. Here was my ride plan.
Revolution: A great warmup ride, because it has only one loop and travels at a mild speed.
Sierra Twist: I couldn't resist riding this ride, plus, there was no line. My friend doesn't like it though, he says this ride makes him throw up.
Griders Gearworks: FEEL the centrifugal force push you outward. One note, if you need to throw up, throw up to an angle, so it hits the person next to you :).
Batman the Ride: I didn't like this ride. It gave me stomach cramps. My friends loved it though.
Tidal Wave: We got to sit in the FRONT ROW!!!! We got wet, but not soaking wet.
Riddler's Revenge: My friends said, since I didn't like Batman, I shouldn't go on this ride. For some reason, I liked this coaster a lot. The station looks really cool.
Freefall: What a fun ride. It gives you a wonderful "lighter than air" feeling.
Goldrusher: YAWN. This ride moves SOOO slow! Don't waste your time on it.
Psyclone: Great ride, but it looks unstable. This ride can give you stomach cramps. I didn't get any.
Ninja: Another slower ride. I didn't think much about it.
Superman: Whew! What a rush! It's better at night since you don't know when the operator presses the go button.
Viper: Great ride, but I didn't like the corkscrews.
Colossus: Wonderful woodie! I love it. This ride gives you great airtime. Although I wish they would run both tracks at once. Oh well, maybe another day.
Goliath: Always save the best for the last. What a great ride! I love the first drop. However, I don't like the tunnel you go through, since the picture booth is right there and it makes you duck, so the camera takes a picture of the top of your head.
Overall, Six Flags Magic Mountain is a great park. I hope to go back soon and experience their new coasters!
